Breaking News from Homs, July 19

Activists report very heavy firing by security forces and with the support of the army in Khaldiah, Bayadah, Masaken “Teacher housing”, Baba Amr, Inshaat, Bab Todmour neighborhoods and in the vicinity of Qalat Homs the “Castle of Homs”. Sounds of bursts of heavy machine guns were heart, and helicopters are said to be hovering over the city.

Electricity is cut off in most of the neighborhoods in the city, and there are reports of ongoing raids of houses since the early morning in Talbeseh. Heavy firing caused at least two wounded. One of them is said to be a 10 year-old child in very critical condition.
