Relief organisations in Idlib helped the destitute and displaced celebrate Ramadan by hosting traditional iftar meals to break their fast.

Field kitchens and restaurants set up in opposition-held areas cooked banquets so people could eat together at sunset during the holy month.

Displaced people from Sahl al-Ghab and Hama’s northern countryside also enjoyed the festivities.

Food rations were also distributed as well as meals that included rice, chicken, boiled meat and dates.

Damascus Bureau’s Ahmad al-Salim visited a number of these kitchens and took the following photographs.
